The Reading With Purpose series is designed to complement a language program through the use of interesting themes and activities. The series aims to encourage students to think beyond application, knowledge and understanding through creating, analysing, synthesising and evaluating information.
Reading With Purpose: Animal Antics contains a series of ten animal themes. The content focuses on unique animals and their antics. The texts cover the biological concepts of animal classification, biodiversity and interdependence, the web of life, nature’s numbers and animal survival strategies such as the use of camouflage, hibernation and physical and behavioural adaptations.
