Description
This book contains a set of practical lessons, ideas and worksheets to explore the strand of Natural and Processed Materials. Specific learning activities focus on the properties of materials, reversible and irreversible changes in materials, composition of bicycle components, properties of household powders, food processing and cooking processes. A range of science skills will be developed through these activities including matching, listing and describing materials, making observations, collating data, assessing and altering material properties, and analysing and reporting on experiment results. Educational website references have been included where possible. All activities are outcome linked to the science strands of state curriculum documents.
